Terms of Use & Disclaimer
Last updated: 30 August 2026
Welcome to vernetpsychologylondon.uk (the "website"), the website of Vernet & Co, a private psychotherapy practice led by Marine Vernet. By using this website you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.
1. This website is for information only
The content of this website is provided for general information about our practice and services. It is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice tailored to your individual circumstances.
Nothing on this website is intended to create a therapist–client relationship. That relationship begins only once we have spoken, agreed to work together, and put a therapy agreement in place. Sending an enquiry, booking an introductory call, or reading this website does not by itself make you a client.
2. If you are in crisis or need urgent help
This website is not monitored continuously and is not a crisis service. We cannot respond to urgent messages, and enquiries may take several days to answer.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, or you are thinking about harming yourself, please get help now:
- Call 999 or go to your nearest A&E in a life-threatening emergency.
- Call NHS 111 and select the mental health option for urgent, non-life-threatening support.
- Samaritans — call 116 123, free, 24 hours a day, or email jo@samaritans.org
- SHOUT — text 85258, a free 24/7 crisis text line.
Please do not wait for a reply from us if you need urgent support.
3. Accuracy of information
We take care to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we make no warranty that it is complete, current or error-free. Details such as fees, availability and consulting locations may change without notice. We are not liable for any decision you make in reliance on the website's content.
4. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, images, the Vernet & Co name and logo, design and layout — is owned by or licensed to Vernet & Co and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
Photographs of consulting rooms appear courtesy of the venues where sessions are held and remain the property of their respective owners.
5. Links to other websites
This website may contain links to third-party websites and resources (for example, professional bodies or directories) provided for your convenience. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss arising from your use of them. A link does not imply our endorsement.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to misuse it — for example, by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious software, or using it in any way that could damage, disable or impair the site or interfere with anyone else's use of it.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vernet & Co will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, or from reliance on any content it contains. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
The professional therapy services we provide to clients are governed separately by the therapy agreement entered into at the start of our work together, not by these website terms.
8. Privacy and cookies
How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, and our use of cookies is explained in our Cookie Policy. By using this website you acknowledge these policies.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above. Your continued use of the website means you accept any changes.
10. Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
