Loneliness is one of the hardest things to say out loud. It carries a quiet shame, a sense that everyone else has worked something out that you haven't. And it's strangest of all in a city like London, where you can be surrounded by people all day and still feel that no one really knows you.
If you've felt that, the ache of not quite connecting, the weekends that feel too quiet, the sense of being on the outside of something you can't name, please know you're not the only one, and there's nothing wrong with you for feeling it. It's far more common than anyone admits. This group is a gentle place to bring exactly that.
What this group is
In Good Company is a small women's support group in London, for those in their twenties and thirties who are struggling with loneliness, solitude, or the quiet difficulty of feeling connected to others. We meet on Saturday mornings in King's Cross, a warm, steady space to feel less alone with what you're carrying, to be genuinely heard, and to understand it together.
It's a place to say the things that are hard to say, and to be met by other women who know that feeling from the inside. Not because anyone is here to fix you, but because being understood, and no longer carrying it by yourself, is its own kind of relief.
To be clear about what this is: it's group support, not therapy. We're not here to diagnose or treat anything. But we are here to support one another, to feel heard, and to explore, gently and without pressure, the loneliness so many of us live with quietly.
If you're feeling shy about this
You don't have to be outgoing, and you don't have to arrive with anything to say. There's no pressure to share before you're ready, being present and listening is welcome and enough. If the thought of a group feels daunting precisely because connecting is what you find hard, that's understood here, and it's exactly the kind of thing we make room for.
How I hold the group
I facilitate in a person-centred and existential spirit. That means no advice-giving, no fixing, and no pressure to be anyone other than yourself, only an accepting space where you're welcome exactly as you are. And beneath the loneliness itself, we can look honestly at the larger questions underneath it: how we long to be known, how we make connection and meaning, and why belonging can feel so out of reach even when we're surrounded by people. Those things are easier to face alongside others than alone.
Who it's for
Women in their twenties and thirties, living in or around London, who are feeling lonely, isolated, or find genuine connection hard, whether you're new to the city, going through a quiet stretch, or have simply felt alone in the crowd for longer than you'd like.
How to join
Every member begins with a short, free call with me before the group starts. It's a relaxed, private conversation — a chance to say hello, to make sure the group feels right for you, and to ask anything you'd like. There's no pressure, and no obligation to join afterwards.
If any of this feels like you, I'd be glad to hear from you. Arrange your introductory call — it's a gentle first step.
